Game ni korang boleh dapatkannya di Steam Winter Sale atau di Humble store secara PERCUMA. Tempoh untuk game PERCUMA ni limited dan ia dibuka sehingga esok  22 Disember pukul 10 pagi PT (1 PM ET). 

LEGO The Lord of the Rings sebenarnya mengikuti cerita asli Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers dan The Lord, yang mempunyai peristiwa cerita yang epik dibayangkan dengan pelbagai humor. Dalam game ni, pemain perlu menghidupkan legenda melalui mini-angka LEGO, untuk meneroka keajaiban, selesaikan teka-teki dan mengatasi musuh. Terdapat beberapa ciri yang menarik dalam game ni seperti di bawah;

• Explore all of the open-world of Middle-earth and experience epic battles with Orcs, Uruk-hai, the Balrog, the Witch-king, and other fearsome creatures.
• Wield the power of the Palantír or Seeing-stone (‘one that looks far-away’), and jump between multiple story-lines.
